Two Years of Ensemble
Reflecting on where we started—and why it matters.
Two years ago this week, Ensemble opened its doors with a simple but radical idea: a real estate firm built by and for brokers. Not just in name or branding, but in structure, values, and ownership. We set out to reimagine what a brokerage could be if we put people first—truly—and treated real estate professionals not as independent contractors in a race against each other, but as members of a cooperative community.
We launched with no promises of profit, no outside investors, and no roadmap but our own. What we had instead was conviction: that a not-for-profit, broker-led model could offer something better. More aligned. More professional. More human.
Since then, we’ve grown deliberately and stayed grounded. We’ve welcomed outstanding brokers who care deeply about their clients, their craft, and their communities. Together, we’ve launched initiatives like Amplify, giving sellers access to pre-sale improvement funding; hosted events that bring tough conversations to the forefront; and quietly built something rare in our industry: a firm where collaboration outweighs competition, where support isn’t conditional, and where every dollar gets reinvested into services, staffing, and savings—not siphoned into owner profit.
Ensemble was never meant to be the biggest brokerage in town. But we are proud to be one of the most principled—and, we hope, among the most impactful. Thank you for being part of our story.
