Meet Kurt
Hi! I’m Kurt. Over the years, clients and colleagues have come to know me as “The Compass.” It wasn’t a title I gave myself. It simply reflected the role I naturally found myself playing: bringing calm when things feel uncertain, offering perspective when emotions run high and helping people confidently navigate decisions that can shape the next decade of their lives.
My job goes beyond helping clients buy and sell homes. I guide people through moments that often carry excitement, uncertainty, and significant financial decisions with clarity, steady leadership and genuine care. Before we ever discuss pricing strategies, negotiations or contracts, I want to understand your story. What matters most to you? What worries you? What does home actually mean to your family? The answers to those questions influence every recommendation I make.
My fascination with homes began long before I became a broker. Through years of travel, I developed a deep appreciation for architecture, design and the ways our surroundings impact how we live. That curiosity eventually led me to study real estate, architecture and philosophy at the University of Washington. Those disciplines continue to shape how I evaluate homes, think strategically and show clients both the practical and emotional value of a property.
Whether I’m negotiating a competitive offer, preparing a home for market or helping first-time buyers navigate unfamiliar territory, my clients know they’ll never have to wonder where things stand. They’ll have an advocate who is responsive, prepared, honest and fully invested in achieving the best possible outcome.
The compliment I value most has nothing to do with a negotiation or a sale. It’s when clients tell me they felt genuinely cared for. They tell me they always knew I was in their corner. They never felt rushed, and they trusted me to tell them what they needed to hear. To me, that’s what great representation looks like.
Outside of work, you’ll find me exploring Seattle by bike, discovering neighborhood coffee shops, traveling whenever I can or working on my plants. I’m endlessly fascinated by beautiful spaces and thoughtful design, but even more by the people who bring those spaces to life.
